In November 2017 the late Richard Medic and Filip Lugovic had one of their occasional catch-up lunches. Both were at a crossroads in their professional lives.

As a seasoned communications consultant, Richard felt it was time to go beyond trading time for money. Filip on the other hand, was tired of making money for others after 10 years of working in business development.

While weighing next steps in their respective careers, they also realised they shared the opinion that the EU bubble seemed to be behind other legislative capitals when it comes to digital communications. 

Even if people did want help, there was not much to choose from. Government affairs consultancies usually would not have this expertise in-house, and “local” marketing agencies simply didn’t understand the political context in which EU stakeholders have to operate.

The idea of creating a new type of agency was born. An agency which would combine a strong understanding of the political and policy landscape with expertise in digital communications.

Following several meetings over the next few months and numerous glasses of wine, beer and even occasional coffees, our domain was registered in April 2018. Then we got down to work.

In 2020 Lorenzo Marchese and Marko Pandza joined as partners, fueling our growth and helping us complete more than 100 projects in 2021 and build our dynamic production teams in Mostar and Belgrade.

Today, The Right Street counts 25 communications experts in our three offices, and is a trusted partner of many public affairs professionals, helping them communicate smarter and be heard.
